for those in the snow

@xgames in Aspen, check it online

The Winter X Games are ON and Aspen is going OFF.  Check out Miss Snow It All’s tips on who and how to follow the best events and athletes online.

If you’re in Aspen, then lucky you. The Winter X Games give world class athletes the opportunity to be the best and rising starts to beat the best.  It’s where Shaun White won four gold medals in four consecutive years in snowboard slopetyle and Australia’s own Anna Segal took out the first gold medal in the first female slopestyle event held at the X Games two years ago.

You can follow Australasia’s of big guns hitting the park on Twitter including snowboarders Torah Bright, Holly Crawford, skiers Russ Henshaw, Anna Segal and Alex Chumpy Pullin for boarder cross and Scott Kneller for skier cross for Australia. Kiwis are represented by skiers Jossi and Byron Wells, skier cross Mitchey Greig.

For live streaming of events check out the official video stream at Livestream.  The guys at ESPN have an official X Games page outlining where to find the event schedule, athlete profiles, results, live blogs from the action and more.  There’s also a mobile app, a Twitter page and a Facebook page.

For real time commentary straight from the sidelines follow the #xgames hashtag or check out the godfather of skiing, Mike Douglas’ tweets, he’s irreverent, honest and entertaining.  Australian snowboard mag, Transfer will update snowboarding events regularly; Dave Amirault aka OzSkier tweets live from Aspen throughout the season and is on the list for most of the parties and ESPN Freeskiing give a second ‘official Twitter take.

Oh, and of course you can always follow me!
